Our family of six and one toddler truly enjoyed our stay in the lovely Quivet Neck area in Dennis. The home exudes historical charm but with all the modern conveniences.(including new mattresses that were very comfortable ). The kitchen had everything we needed for special meals or the perfect barbecue. We appreciated the large flat backyard where we had memorable dinners, played family games, and toasted s'mores around the fire pit. The blossoming hydrangeas were the icing on the cake! It was about a 1/3 mile walk to either Sea Street Beach or Cold Storage Beach where low tide allowed for plenty of beach activities and the landscape for outstanding sunsets. It was less than 2 miles to the historic Cape Playhouse, and our favorite restaurants, including Encore, Sesuit Harbor Cafe, Grumpy's and Smuggler's Ice Cream. Learning the historical significance tied to this house made our vacation extra special ! The homeowner, Dave, was very responsive and easy to deal with. We are hoping to return next year!

We absolutely loved our week in this cozy cottage. It is a tough thing to find a rental house that is well-equipped, homey, in a fantastic location, and doesn't "feel like a rental", and this house checked all the boxes. The house is beautiful, absolutely charming, and had so many unique qualities that could only be found in a home with this much history. The kids loved the fun upstairs bedrooms and we ended up staying home and grilling most nights because the yard was spectacular! The neighborhood is picturesque and it was so convenient to only be a quick 10-minute (flat and easy) walk to the beach, where we spent most days (the walk to Sea Street beach was a tad better than Cold Storage in our opinion, since the road was so quiet and pretty straight, but both are super close). The homeowner was great to deal with leading up to our arrival, and quick to respond with any questions during our stay. So great to have sheets and towels there so we didn't have to bring them. Overall, a wonderful week!
Sarah C The weather was fantastic and the location was ideal. Your home is incredibly charming, the outdoor setting is so very peaceful and relaxing, this is where we spent most of our time. The inside is lovely as well, simple and functional allowing the historical elements to shine through.
-Jen K Highly recommend this lovely home with plenty of living space for a group to spread out and relax, and cannot say enough about spectacular spacious yard....truly breathtaking outdoor space. Easy walk to Dennis northside beaches and a high end, quiet neighborhood. Newer kitchen, tastefully decorated home with plenty of linens/dishes/beach chairs and toys...just wish our stay was longer! Owner super responsive and helpful.
-BR Thank you again so much for a lovely stay! I think you may have one of the very best locations in Quivet Neck. We loved the quiet and peacefulness of your property – and delighted in seeing the resident bunnies and squirrels bounding about. Your outdoor dining area reminded us of rural France, and we were happy to have a few sunny mornings and evenings to dine there. I hope we have a chance to return to the Cape soon!
This beautiful property exceeded our expectations....charming antique with all the amenities and surroundings needed to fully enjoy our week: a quiet, pretty street, updated furnishings, a large landscaped yard in which to relax or play lawn games, and a short walk to pristine nearby beaches. We highly recommend this lovely property.
If you're looking to experience the charm and peace and quiet of East Dennis, and Quivet Neck in particular, look no further. Terrific location, walkable to Cold Storage and Sea Street beaches as well as the East side of Sesuit Harbor (the Cafe is on the West side though) and a short drive to the restaurants and shops of Dennis Village (or Brewster in the opposite direction). The charming antique house is well stocked, comfortable, and has enough space inside and out (great yard) for everyone to enjoy. Dave, the owner, was a pleasure to deal with (and always very responsive) and we had no issues during our stay. Having only one bathroom was rarely if ever an issue for us. The stairs to the second floor are steep and have a low overhang at the bottom (it's a house from the 1700s after all!), but our kids got the hang of it and it wasn't an issue. We would definitely consider renting this house again.
